Dan Champ is an educator, student travel specialist, and entrepreneur whose career has been guided by a passion for serving others, creating meaningful learning experiences, and helping young people grow both academically and personally. Based in California, Dan has spent more than two decades shaping the lives of students through education, mentorship, and travel.
Raised in Roseville, California, Dan grew up in a close-knit, middle-class family that valued hard work, faith, and community. His father was a civil engineer who dedicated his career to public service, while his mother devoted herself to raising Dan and his sister before later working as a school aide.
Dan enjoyed a happy childhood filled with strong friendships, family support, and opportunities to explore a variety of interests. While he participated in sports such as soccer, baseball, and swimming, music became his greatest passion. Beginning in fifth grade, he developed a love for the trumpet and went on to perform in marching, concert, jazz, and pep bands throughout middle and high school.
His entrepreneurial spirit emerged early when he founded a youth Dixieland jazz band that performed for several years at the renowned Sacramento Dixieland Jazz Jubilee.
